Brisbane Street Art
Brisbane is an artistic haven and there are plenty of ways to enjoy the city’s street art. There are numerous murals throughout the city, including those by local artists Fintan Magee, Rone, Beastman, Numbskull, and Gu Eagleton. There are even free tours to explore some of the secret spots. One such place is Burnett Lane, which runs parallel to the Queen Street retail area. The alley is home to many funky restaurants and bars and has a lot of street art.
In addition to the spectacular street art found on Brisbane streets, there is also plenty of public art to be enjoyed throughout the city. The Annerley Road underpass, for example, has a mural of cyclists painted by Dan Brock. There are also many exhibitions and workshops to enjoy as part of this free festival celebrating street art. The Brisbane Street Art Festival will return in 2021, and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of this exciting event.
